Ms. Chandra Schwab from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Visited the School

From November 5 to 8, 2018, Ms. Chandra Schwab from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Business School visited our school to conduct academic exchanges and discuss cooperation between the two universities.Wu Ping, deputy dean of the College of Economic, and the teachers from the Department of International Economics and Trade of the College of Economics and the International Cooperation Department and participated in the consultation.

Wu Ping expressed warm welcome to Ms. Chandra Schwab's arrival. He briefly introduced the basic situation of the college, the personnel training of the College of Economics, scientific research, and the construction of disciplines. It mainly focused on the cooperation process between the college and the French Nancy Exchange business project. Ms. Chandra Schwab gave a detailed account of the internationalization, academic strengths and professional settings of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Expressed her appreciation for the short-term  Frenchproject. The two sides have conducted in-depth exchanges on short-term study projects for American students, and look forward to cooperation in student exchange, academic research and scholars' visits.

Chandra Schwab gave a lecture on "International Business Communication" for teachers and students of the College of Economics. The Nebraska's humanistic environment and agricultural development led to the contrast and differences between Chinese and American cultural concepts to illustrate the importance of cultural respect in international business negotiations.She further enumerated the most important factors of decision-making, self-confidence, self-motivation, uniqueness and work enthusiasm of international companies, reminding students to consciously cultivate relevant quality and ability to do professional planning.

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln Business School has signed a short-term project cooperation agreement with our college. From May to August, the US school will send 10-20 students to our school for a two-month course and twomonths’ course practice.
